Like Lions is the solo project of Seattle-based singer, songwriter, and producer Patrick O’Neill. The one-man-band uses a unique blend of driving synths on top of hip-hop production, all tied together with pure pop vocals that constantly deliver stick-in-your-head melodies.

Like Lions began In 2012 when O'Neill partnered with Seattle Producer Ben Kersten (Grand Archives, S., Carrisa's Weird) to release the full-length indie-folk album All Be Fine under the moniker Like Lions. The act’s name would become the branding for O'Neill’s future solo work in indie-pop. After the collaboration with Kersten, Like Lions began playing shows frequently in the Seattle area and released EPs Baby For Days and Hello Ghosts over a two-year span under the same artist title.

From 2016-2018 Like Lions as a project took a hiatus from performing and releasing music so O’Neill could take courses in music production, focus on writing, recording and building out a new sound, finally reemerging in 2019 with the full length album An Aging Millennial. Combining powerful synths with hip-hop beats and O’Neill’s distinct pop-rock vocal delivery, the new Like Lions sound is as thoughtful as it is catchy, and marks a firm step into the commercial music scene. The independently released record gained nearly half a million streams across platforms and gave O’Neill the opportunity to meet and collaborate with a wide array of artists from all over the world.

When the Global pandemic closed the live music industry down in early 2020 Like Lions retreated to the studio increasing his output, recording and releasing a 4-part EP project titled “Election Season”, collaborating virtually on dozens of songs and inking a publishing deal with UK based Publishing house Unified Songs. Now consistently averaging 35K+ monthly listeners across streaming platforms, Like Lions continues to release new music, including a new album in the spring of 2024, and has begun performing his brand of electronic pop in the Seattle area again.
